Well put Empress. Couldn’t agree more. It’s a bit naive for people to expect that the new owners inherited much more than the domain name. For a site that was thrown together so quickly after the eBay business transaction it’s pretty good. And unlike my blogspot page I believe comments are actually working.
It’s good to be back. It feels a bit like having your home rebuilt after having it destroyed in a natural disaster. It won’t be exactly the same but it’s a clean slate to start from.
Donna: I liked the setup at blogspot. I just got frustrated with features not working… especially comments. Blogging without comments sucks.
Greeneyes: I really don’t like any other blogging site so I feel I should give the new JS a chance. It may be a little “bare bones” over here right now but hopefully in time it will improve.
DB: Thanks… It was just a tough and emotional couple of days. It was overwhelming and stressful. Amy and I have since worked thru it. We always do. One of the really great things about our relationship is we work thru our issues together. I’m lucky to have her. I can understand her position being far away and unable to be as active in Logan’s life as she’d like to be.
Tmpavek: Yeah, it’s difficult not to be hard on yourself when you feel like you could have done things differently (better) as a parent. Raising a child is the most important thing you can do in your life and mistakes you make affect the child. I also understand Amy feeling left out of things and that can be upsetting.
Donna: Yeah, I agree. I did thank my mother for bringing us to the hospital and for talking me into it. I don’t like telling my mom she’s right about things because she gets big headed about and rubs my nose in the fact that I was wrong about something and she was right. The victory dance never ends with her, but for my son’s health it’s worth it. He’s worth it and fortunately I only have less than a year left of putting up with her shit.
His regular pediatrician does know about it now. I took Logan to see her for a follow up the next day. So she’s aware of it and so is the pediatrician that missed it the day before. My mom bitched at him for missing it. She just tore into him.
I hope it doesn’t happen to your son but apparently it’s common with children 6 and under and boys are more prone to it than girls. It’s not a very serious condition if treated quickly, but left untreated it can close up a kid’s windpipe and make breathing impossible causing death.
I’m over at blogspot, too but not really happy with it. That problem with the comments I mentioned to you that you were having… I’m having that problem now on my blog and it’s pissing me off, so I came here… at least the comments are working here, but this site still needs work. I’m willing to stick around and see if it improves because I’m not happy anywhere else.
