Thanks people. I am under a strong suggestion to freeze most of the leftover. Always hate to do that, but glad later that I did.
No big special recipe really. 2 lbs chopped beef, 2 cut up onions, 1 can of tomato soup and 4 cans of red and dark red kidney beans. Heat for half a day, stirring and adding chili pepper each time.
Also grateful for electric snowblower. True, the cord is a pain in the butt, and true, it was not even in the same part of the basement where I had left it …. BUT … it does start and run instantly the first time of the season. And that counts for a lot.
Not much more Fitz, except maybe to be back in Dixie where I can see as well as hear my Girlblogger.
The truck I linked on my other blog just passed the junction where left is Denver and right is Cheyenne. I have passed that same spot a few times when I drove a little moror home registered in Colorado and took it back to near Boulder once a year for its emissions test.
OK, I DID freeze some of my chili, which will make me glad down the road, and have had four bowls of same in between snow blowing. And my house is all clean, even though I cannot find anything without a real search.
Tonight, the outside temp is 4 degrees. If I were in dixie, I would be escorting an exciting and funny and cute and clever lady to a ball, but I would be a basket case wondering if the pipes were going to freeze in FTN. I have the faucets dripping all night.
