Oooh oh!-BlackEyedPeas!
Tonight I am to go to the Downtowner with Ra, unfortuantely I haven’t heard a peep today and she hasn’t told me what time, so with that said, I think I may just end up going out there by myself, imagine that! No, JK, my co-worker will go with me if I don’t hear anything in the next 20 mins.
Outside of this ‘non-showing’ biz, I am going out to Moose Country with Stout! I can’t wait! Dance a little, play pool, darts, dance, drink! Tonight should be a good night!

Today’s little surprise included:
My boss being late
Someone bringing in these amazing glazed doughnuts. Homemade, fresh this morning and absolutely smelt like heaven. They have a butterscotch one-OMG! and then the Chocolate one…

The question is, was it their birthday? Was it an anniversary? Not sure, and they are not willing to tell. Doesn’t matter, they look amazing!

I am the type to not have the same hair style every day. It has to at least match the outfit that I am wearing. Well yesterday, was my ‘70’s style. I had the classic off-white shirt on that has the little tied knot around the waist, and then of course the classic twist of the bangs brought towards the back of the head pinned up by bobby pins. This look was inspired by this months Elle magazine, saw a picture and though that’d be cute for tomorrow with this outfit. And it sure did.
A co-worker was walking by and says “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!” I laughed and shot back “She is so groovy!” It just made my ‘70’s style look solid!
Today is just the down straight look to match my ruffle top. I suppose that doesn’t matter if whether or not that would match the outfit but at least it looks hot. (Hopefully the picture comes through).

Now that the new year has come upon us, the gyms are over crowded and being that I am included in a smaller gym then any (it’s at my work) then it seems to be a bit more crowded then if it was LA Fitness, or Lifetime, you know, those big commercialized ones. My work gym (MWG), we will call it, offers some sweet (sweat too) classes: Boot camp (strenuous cardio, strength and misc core work), Circuit (10 min cardio, rest lifting), abs class, etc!
Last year, at the end, it seemed that not many people cared for the boot camp class because let’s face it; it’s a freaking hard class, a lot of steps! Well the first of the year we have over 15 people in it, from 5-7 people to that, it can be jostling for someone that doesn’t like big classes (me).
I’ve gotten into this little jitter issue when arriving to boot camp, not because there is a hot guy that goes, oh no, but because of the women. WOMEN? You ask! Yeah the women. They just seem to be rude if you show, it’s like they have this attitude that they are better then you and what are you doing on their boot camp property. Let me add, you can come and go as you please for these classes, they don’t keep attendance, so naturally, anyone can show up. Well these girls (who happen to be my age, imagine that, immature) seem to not like the new people or even regular boot campers. So I have developed a bit of a jitter. I think, why, why am I coming in here like they own this place, if anything I have been with this gym for almost 7 years, they just started coming about 5 yrs ago. It doesn’t matter who is the queen of the gym, what matters I’m not going to be uncomfortable in my favorite class.
So, I go with my head held high thinking this class isn’t for you to think that I’m in shape or not, it is for me to get in shape, tone up, be who I am, and working out is my safe haven, don’t jump on my cloud! Boot camp is the workout of the century in gym queen’s life (that’s meeee!)

Book club night was nice. There were 5 people that showed and we just hung out, talked a bit about the books that we read this last month, two of them didn’t finish it so it was hard to not talk about the darn ending on the “More Than it Hurts You” but they will find out. It was a difficult frustrating ending if you don’t have an imagination. Oh yeah, one of those endings… awe.
The dinner that was served was lasagna, butter French bread, veggies, and for dessert (I finally learned a neat way on how to keep desert and dessert correct) was yummy brownies (not made by me) and Reeces peanut butter cup with peanut butter chips melted in the middle (now, I made those). We sat around and talked about our lives and how everything has been going in the last few months and what has happened.
I noticed there was a little attitude from neighbor but I didn’t think anything of it just because of the job that she has (dealing with cancer kids), so I just shrugged it off. Granted, she did say that she was having a tough few weeks with work, so I let it slide. But there is one thing that I noticed about her, when the attention is not on her, she let’s this little attitude come out as in “Me, Me, Me! Let me talk, let me tell the stories, all about me!” I mean granted she has some darn great stories and the way that she tells them is hilarious. But for real, there are just sometimes it isn’t going to be about you, it will be about other people too.
Well I made a stupid mistake, we started talking about bank accounts and if you and your significant other share one. Of all people, I would had thought she would have a shared account, I was wrong. And I got into a little debate with her, stupid me! She makes me a bit nervous when it comes to debates, she won’t put her guard down until you side with her, I’m not going to side with her, but I don’t have a base of information to not debate with her about it. So I slid my way completely out of that conversation and ended up some how getting into another one with someone else. Boy, whoooofta, that was a by-gone-close one! So she is a tough person to deal with, but oh so kind. She is very caring, will listen to you, when she isn’t talking of course, and will be there no matter what you are going through. She is a true friend.
I guess you just have to look past the negatives and really try hard to take those positives about your friends and run with it. You never know, they may surprise you some day.

The garage has always been his place, and the basement. I never really said anything except that I get a spot in the garage based on our winters and I just HATE scraping the windows in the butt kicking cold weather when its 6:15 am and you are in a skirt because you wanted to wear it because the ouchie scrap from the sport you were playing the night before is so beautiful and you can’t help to show it off… where was I going with this, completely off track…
Well lately he has been in a mood to clean it out and make more room in the garage so he can start playing with his smoker business (insert here …) and his go-cart schemes with his sisters. His smoker business is BBQ smokers, not the insertion you made, haha. In the last week or so, he has made a huge improvement on the garage; the whole one side of the garage is totally empty! It is seriously awkward going out there and finally has space to get out of the car without crashing your door into the side of the ladder, or the 2 by 4 piece of plywood that hit the corner of your windshield because you were excited to get inside and put on the new outfit… where was I? Oh yeah, now it isn’t tight (insert here…) and you can come and go as you please with absolutely nothing to interfere (insert here…)! He is excited and so am I! Just in time for the car to break down too. Still fixing the beast, something is going on with the heating core, and something with a leakage of coolant. Not sure, but as a couple, and since it’s my car, I decided to help. I suppose the furnace that he put up made my decision to be easier! No that didn’t help at all, wink wink!
I’m really proud of his ‘man caves’! He has really made a difference in the garage, for the better, and also in the basement, still have to work on that one, but he is having fun with it, and that, that is all that matters.

At it’s finest!!
I’m back and it took me a long time to come back. At first, I came on with a good attitude when we lost JS land, but then… I started to get frustrated! I strated to get very very angry at this site because not only is half my stuff off the screen, but it just ISN’T the same. I LOVED seeing who viewed my journal, now, I can’t. Anyways, after a year off, exactly, of not journaling at all, I’m back and it feels great. I’m hoping to keep it just as long as the other space (5-7 years i think). WOWZERS!
Welcome!

I take yoga about once a week, I try to go two times, but lifting and cardio seem to take precedence over it. With yoga today there was a gentleman, which is so awesome, because it isn’t just for women; men can get a great work out too. If anything, we could do the down dog series better then he could, but that is okay, I’m just glad that we had a man. But seriously, the breathing man, keep it to yourself. I mean I can understand that when you breath through these series of Yoga, it becomes hard; it really takes a big difference but dude! Whoooosh Wwwaaaash! It is just as hard to keep breathing through this class, but quiet it a bit. Whhooooosh, Whhhhhaaash! Dang! Think of the others around your area, they are concentrating on the breathing just as much as you are, but we aren’t breathing hard like we would if we were running. My little bubble, my little breathing area. Your little bubble, your little breathing area. It is sad when you can start to feel the air coming out of the dude. Yuk! I don’t know what you had for breakfast let along last night, and man I don’t want to know. Keep it down a bit, that’s all I ask.

I have started a book club with a co-worker friend of mine and so far, it has almost been a full year that we have been meeting. We went from 3 girls to 13, to 5 regulars. It became a surprise as if I didn’t know all my friends were book worms as much as I.
Tonight is our book club meeting and I can’t wait to find out what books we are to read. This last reading was “More Than It Hurts You”. This one was a difficult reading. It was about a mother that feels she doesn’t get enough attention from her husband (allegedly) and begins to take it out on their 10 month old child. What causes more of a rumble, she is a nurse, so she knows how to give the baby shots and poison him without anyone knowing any wiser. So it was a sad, frustrating, intense reading. Glad I finished.
Currently I am reading, just to pass time, “A Stranger in the Shadows” by, Mary Higgins Clark. (Are title of books supposed to have a quotations marks around them or underline? I can’t ever remember?) And also reading all my Running World, Fitness, and Women’s Health Magazines to catch up.
Can’t wait to learn what we get to read next.
